| Anyone out there who knows where I can obtain an operations manual on the Tascam Ministudio Porta Two. This is the large version. Not the 02mkII. jamesc5571 |

Is that the cassette recorder? Basic 4 track recording?
Is it a specific task that is giving you problems?
Have you tried http://www.tascam.com yet?
Take a look at the MKII manual, it should be the same information that can get ya started. |

| Brien, In reply, the Tascam Porta Two measures 12X16X3, and is a 6 chan with pan, effects, eq low, eq high and trim, with one master. The controls are effect rtn, effect master, monitor/remix/cue and effect. The cassette is a 4 trk w/ pitch control and zero rtn. Outputs are many. It also has 4 trk tape cue controls, record function (4) direct, safe and left/right. Created after the 80-8 recorder and before the 02MK series. I tried to contact Tascam, but they came up with the 02MK series. This is a different version. I will call customer relations monday. There should be a manual on this unit somewhere. Thanks for your input. |

Those were not questions I asked but more nudgings. Like why use a cassette recorder, and wouldn't 24 tracks be better, that kinda thing in this digital age. You must be trying to sale it because you have too much information about it to require a manual that is only going to tell you pretty much what you just typed:)
Doesn't matter. Good luck boss. |

This is an old post. Did you ever find one. I happen to have both a unit and the owner's manual. I don't want to separate them, but would be willing to PDF the manual.

| I could use the manual. I have a lot of them on file, as people ask I acquire them so you can see my interest. |

Ahh... thats a shame.
I know the basics of how to use the thing, all i really want to know is how to record on more than the first two tracks :S
What i mean is i use an ordinary TDK90 tape, and when i line-in to tracks one and two i get sound and a clean recording on the tape, but when i use tracks three or four i get the sound coming back but no recording?
i wonder if anyone knows why this is... |
