|
|
I'm somewhat familiar with amp and tube emulation plug in effects for guitars, but what I'd like is a software or type of plug in that actually plays as a guitar (or bass, keyboard, drums).
Is there something that aids in playing the instrument in a virtual manner that can offer strumming or chord play in a way that is more efficient than pasting different note samples, etc.?
Basically, any kind of virtual instrument to help create riffs would be great. Or is there a way for any of the popular production programs to assign guitar strings or drum hits to your CPU keyboard (I have no midi or regular synth keyboard)? |

Hi
Just got in stienbergs virtual guitarist 2 and having fun with it.
the earlier versions only allowed playing of sample riffs while this one allows one to edit the riffs and completely tailor the guitar to what's in your head so to speak.
Could be what your'e looking for |

Hi,
I highly recommend "Slayer 2" http://www.refx.net/?page=Slayer2 and I think it is just what you need. I was looking for the same thing and did try Steinberg's virtual guitarist, but Slayer 2 is much easier to use and in my opinion better for riffs etc
