wut are u using to try and make beats...mpc? jus computer? keyboard?

The two main methods to producing beats are self composed or sampled. Products cna vary depending on which route you initially choose to take. I am 22 and have been working with sampled beats since I was 16 with much success, but there are many cons to this route. Sampled beats are much harder to authorize for publication and in some ways limit you to your range in style. I would recommend, as I have also chosen to follow, that you look at programs such as reasons that give you a limitless range of oppurtunities and sounds. Other great programs that might help you get the just of beat making are fruity loops and acid, but again these programs are really geared towards samples. Also you might want to look into programs like goldwave to work on your cuts. Just getting into these programs and messing around is the best way to learn because over time the practice will evolve your personal style.
