Hello,
We're thinking about integrating the Hitsquad forums with Facebook.
This would mean that when you're logged on to Facebook you would you wouldn't have to log on here separately - you could just come to the forum and be logged in automatically.
It would also mean you could share any interesting posts with your Facebook friends with a simple click.
So please tell us if you think this is a good idea!
Thanks,
Jason. |

Thanks Murray - I see your point that Facebook might not stay as big as it is now.
What we would do wouldn't change the way you use Hitsquad, you could still login directly with us without having to be a member of Facebook or log into your Facebook account first.
My thinking is to be just like Youtube where you can chose to link your login with Facebook or not - if you want to just be a Youtube member and have nothing to do with Facebook then you just use that site the same way you always did.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? |

No I haven't - but I've sent you one so you can reply privately to that if you want to. |

Hi All:
I'd stay away from FaceBook if were my decision to make. You'll get an increase in trollers hanging around and open up the Board to that kind of activity.. That is... if you want my opinion.. |

| Its true today Facsbook is huge having said I've recently canceled my subscription to Facebook a result of all extraneous garbage sent my way no matter how I tried to control it. And the advertisements are out of hand as well. I like this forum exactly the way it is. For musicians and music lovers if they decide they want to become social they can always sign up at Facebook on their own and not through the Forum made courtesy by Hit Squad. |

I agree that it's not Hitsquad's job to sign people up to Facebook, and that's not the idea I have in mind.
What I'm thinking of is something where people who are already on Facebook can link their login to Hitsquad just to make it easier for them to access this site and share information with their FB Friends.
The effect of this would be that people who don't already use Hitsquad but are FB friends with someone who does, would have a greater chance of finding out about this place, and could then choose to sign up and link their logins.
I would hope it would be musicians who are FB friends with other musicians and bands.
Do you think people who aren't really into making music would join us because they have friends who are musicians on here? I'd be interested to know because that's not really what we'd want - there are plenty of other places to discuss just-get-over-it-bieber
