Hi there!
I am a choiral singer (sorry if mye spelling's messed up - I'm in Norway), but lately I have encountered an incredibly annoying issiue.
Sunday I am to perform Requiem by Maurice Durufle, so this is kind of a chrisis.
In spite of thorrough warm-up I tend to "loose" my voice at the end of rehearsals. My voice has been a bit rusty for at least one month, also been caughing up green gunk. Seen my doctor, but he has no advice but drinking lots of whater... There was nothing wrong to find. "Must be a virus..." I allready drink a lot of whater both before and during practice/rehersal. My singing tecnique is noe superb, but NOT hopeless.
Any advice on this? I totally hate loosing my voice so I have to stop at a D2... I sing second soprano. Durofle's Requiem is hard definately hard to sing (some stuff up to A2 even for us singing second). I just question this because I didn't have this problem when I started this. Had very limited time becase I started in this qoire in february this year. Cold this be a result of over-practising? More to think of than breathing, support and to let open?
I would apreciate all feedback on this |
