music database software help

i have a collection of aprox 9000 albums most of wich is on dvd discs (mp3) but want something i can look at to tell me whats on each disc including tracks.
eg: say i was looking for baggy trousers track, just want to put a search in and it tells me which disc its on and what album folder its in,

any advice.

cheers.dont understand about platform??.
if i use say musicrenamer could i put a mp3 disc in will it fill in missing artists track etc and keep the info when i EJECT the disc. so i can search my database without using the discs.

I meant which operating system you use - Mac OS X, Windows, etc.

just one more question, is there a way to add what disc the track or album is on when doing a search.and is there a limit to how much i can put on as i have about 9,000 albums.
