Hi, I have a USB Keyboard and want to learn to play the keyboard. What I'm looking for is a simple way to play the controller keyboard through my laptop while I save up to buy a decent stand alone keyboard!! Is there a simple solution to this? I have Energy XT but my one keeps dropping out when I'm playing which is very annoying!! Just something that has a few instrument sounds that runs off of a USB keyboard would be great. Effectively a software sound module!!

What you want is a program like VST Host

You run that, then plug any VSTi virtual instrument in that you want.
