Dear Anyone.

Got Sonar X1 Producer. I've MIDI-Yoked a notation program, QSE, to it because I'm disabled and can't use a keyboard. And Sonar's sound engine keeps cutting out before it finishes playing my piece.

I've got the OUTs from MIDI-Yoke in QSE going to the INS in Sonar. It starts playing the piece fine - for about 20 seconds. Then everything stops playing. I look at Sonar and I've got 'The Audio Engine has Stopped Unexpectedly!' It's still getting MIDI data. I know this because the little keyboard on the bar down the bottom of the screen has flashing lights.

I've tried WDM and Asio instead of generic drivers - no joy. Tried increasing/decreasing buffers - again no joy. Ran out of ideas after that and came here!

I've got Windows XP running on a Gigabyte motherboard with a dualcore processor and 4gig RAM. And well over 100gig hard drive empty.

Anyone got any ideas?

Yours respectfully

Chris.
