|
|
Hi there ppl!
i'm askin on behalf of my bf's dad. He owns the Technic Keyboard SX-KN6000 and has been having difficulty to save any recording to the diskette.
We referred to Page 126-127 of the manual and followed it to the letter.
including
However, the prob is that it doesn't!
any tips? could it be a sign of an internal prob, but we can't tell! we just get error messages being unablt to save to the formatted diskette while the songs stay in the instrument itself... |

| Sounds to me like it might be the floppy. Try an new floppy, and make sure to format it on the keyboard before you try to save. There should be a procedure for that in the manual. |

| Make certain that the switch on the floppy isn't in the "locked" position as well. |

unfortunately, that is not the case as we tested out the floppys (they work on other comps) and they have been formatted by the keyboard n yes, we always check to see whether the diskette is in locked position or not.
that is why i resorted to this place. i searched the net for the technic's webpage to seek for personnel assistance coz there aren't any where we live! we are beginning to suspect that the keyboard might have been damaged internally since it was transported from west msia to east msia.... (it was bought 7-8??? years ago.....)
hope for more advice! |

So it can read disks? That is a good thing. Can it <format> disks?
I am trying to locate a manual or other related info on this.
If it can read a disk, like I said that is good. Everything else, format, save to, etc. is software driven. |

yes, it can format the diskette.
we have the manual... prob is that it only saves to the machine itself.. not the diskette... coz when we saved it... it looked as if it was saving to the diskette... but it wasn't! it was saving to the comp... so when we tried to transfer the file... it said error! error! |

I don't getit. It can format and read disks but will not save to a disk...weird.
How about this. Can you use the MIDI ports to save to an external computer/sequencer?
I know its a leap but it may be the only option other then having a technition repair bill. |

| This is assuming it has MIDI ports...it may also have (like the sx7000) a USB port but I have no way of knowing because information on this board is difficult to get. |
