|
|
| here's my dream: I download some midi of my favorite tune drop it into a folder and then start up some awesome software that downlads the pitches, lyrics, and rythm into my skull so I don't have to worry during performance. Do they make software for that? Or at least something that makes a vocalist's job easier? |

uploading pitches into your brain... wow.
You could sing against a pitch track. If you are using a sequencer in your performance you could connect a 2nd sequencer (using the first to control the timing) that just goes to your monitors (ideally a head set) and plays the pitch you will need to hit on some previous beat when you aren't singing. I've done that in the studio for some people (including myself) when I am having a hard time hitting a pitch at the start of a phrase.
Never tried it live, but it should work. However, a practiced performance sounds much better than using tools to get what you want. (Like pitch processing and pitch tracks) |

the ear training products looked cool and I'm going to download that free trial after I write this ...
What I'm talking about is a program that could show me the pitch I'm singing as a squiggly line on a music staff. Then I could see if I'm hitting the notes and when I go flat I can see the line curving down away from the right pitches in that song.
Anyone see something like that? |
