i use fruity loops, which is easy to use for beginers, and has a shed load of features for any user, i have flstudio 5, you can import vst inst and plugins, which are a bonus as the basic ones are a bit naff! and making your own beats etc is really easy!! just get some decent drum kits or vst drums n synths to use!!
i dont know if that has helped!!
there are so many on the market! you will probably need to get an external sound card too!! like an apple spike!!
have a good look on the market befor you buy!! price is all down to what you want it for really!! you can get sound cards for like 80-800 + pounds!! all down to your budget!! |

Depends on the circumstances.
Live:
I'm using Plogue Bidule.. YOu can load in all your vst inst/effects without the cpu and memory load. Great prggram for just playing the vst's without having to be in a sequencing environment.
Recording:
Cubase SX is a good proghram, though it does have a healthy learning curve. By far the easiest, seems to be Cakewalk. Easy to load, easy to sequence etc.
Moneywise:
Have to go with Ntrack. cheap, does most everything the big dogs do for a fraction of the cost. Another learning curve time consumer, but, worth it. |
