| I am looking for software that takes piano music and converts (not sure that is even the right word) inot chords for guitar. Does that make sense? I am looking for it for a gift. Thanks! |

It depends on what it is exactly you want to do, your explanation doesn't seem very clear to me.
Firstly, there is an entire area on this site devoted to chord software at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/CHORDS/
Before we can help we will need more information. What does the person do exactly with the "piano music" - do they read the chords, do they read the notes, do they put the printed "piano music" into a computer scanner, do they have the "piano music" already on their computer - and if so, what software?
Once we know what you mean someone here will be able to help. |

Thanks for responding. She plays the harpsichord and I guess the music she wants to play she can find it in piano sheet music but she doesn't know how to transpose (not sure if that is right?) it to guitar music or chords. Yes, she can read music and chords too I guess. I was just having a hard time even finding the right words to search by because I am not sure what I am looking for. I don't have much of a musci backround.
Thanks for your help. :) |

Something like http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/DAPersonalGuitarist/
might be what you're looking for - the person you're giving it to can even try it first and decide if they like it before you have to pay for it. |
