Along with partners Dell, Intel and Microsoft, Digidesign and M-Audio are proud to announce The Show Room at the NAMM Show from January 19–22, 2006 at the Anaheim Convention Center. In addition to the Digidesign and M-Audio presence on the main show floor (booths #6606 and #6700, respectively), the companies are joining together to produce The Show Room (Room 212A) featuring intimate live musical performances by artists representing the very best in their respective genres.
Artists scheduled to appear in The Show Room include: The Goo Goo Dolls; Kelly Clarkson (coming off her recent 2006 Grammy® Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance) with her musical director Jason Halbert; Fred Martin and The Levite Camp of The Urban Entertainment Institute with special guests Jackson Browne and Faith Evans; and Omar Hakim (a drummer whose credits include David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Sting, and Miles Davis). Hakim will be jamming with an all-star band featuring session-legend Victor Bailey, Hiram Bullock, and Scott Tibbs. Percussionist Daniel de los Reyes will deliver an electrifying percussion set with special guests Robert Brookins, Stephen Perkins, Intif Fernandez, Luisito Quintero, Christian Legaux, Bashiri Johnson and many more. Other performers scheduled to appear in The Show Room include BT, Junkie XL, Junior Sanchez, Ken Jordan from The Crystal Method, Mike Phillips, Kaci Brown, Annie Stela, Shawn Pelton with special guest Dave Hill Jr., Carmen Rizzo, Dave Cooley, Z-Trip and Kid Beyond. All artist appearances vary in length and are subject to change. A complete schedule of performances is available on www.digidesign.com and www.m-audio.com. Space in The Show Room is limited and all attendees must acquire a laminate from the Digidesign and M-Audio booths for access. Admittance of those with laminates will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Veteran live sound engineer and six-time TEC Award winner Robert Scovill (credits include Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Matchbox Twenty, Rush, Def Leppard) will mix the performances on the Digidesign VENUE live sound environment and demonstrate why this powerful system was a natural choice for a number of top grossing tours of 2005, including U2 and Paul McCartney. The VENUE system in The Show Room will include the ECx Ethernet Option allowing wireless control of the console, featuring a Dell Precision™ M70 Mobile Workstation powered by Intel® Pentium® M processors. It will also include the VENUE HDx TDM Record/Playback Option, using a Pro Tools|HD® 3 Accel system within a Dell Precision 670 workstation powered by Intel® Xeon™ processors. The performance setup on The Show Room stage will feature a variety of M-Audio interfaces, controllers, microphones, monitors and more including ProKeys 88, Trigger Finger, Aries and Solaris—plus Ableton Live 5.
In addition to the performances and VENUE demonstrations in The Show Room, Digidesign and M-Audio product specialists will be on hand to demonstrate two complete workstations. The first features a Pro Tools|HD 3 Accel system with an ICON D-Command™ console running on a Dell Precision 670 Workstation. The second will be a Pro Tools M-Powered™ system with an Ozonic™ keyboard running on a Dell Precision M70 Mobile Workstation.
All systems will be running Pro Tools® 7 software for Microsoft® Windows® XP.
Attendees interested in in-depth Digidesign and M-Audio product demonstrations will not want to miss the regularly scheduled presentations in the Digidesign and M-Audio booths on the show floor.
