Sound Grinder v2.5 is the latest version of Monkey Tools audio conversion utility, providing powerful conversion features and support for many of the popular audio formats
Version 2.5.2 includes several new features and enhancements to assist you in your daily processing tasks.
What's New?
Support for FLAC, OGG/FLAC, and BWAV formats
You can now import and export FLAC, OGG/FLAC and BWAV file formats and their associated metadata.
Support for MP3 ID3 Tags, Vorbis Comments, FLAC Comments, and Quicktime User Data:
You can now import, edit and export MP3 ID3 Tags, Vorbis Comments, FLAC Comments, and Quicktime User Data as supported by the LAME MP3 and other codecs and standards. Additionally, when converting between formats, any equivalent metadata will be carried over to the output file.
Support for Digidesign file content:
Sound Grinder now supports the retention of Digidesign specific content in AIFF, WAVE/BWAVE, and Sound Designer 2 files. This data includes region info, waveform overviews, comments and other text info.
Support for Finder/Spotlight Comments:
In addition to standard metadata, you can now import/export Finder/Spotlight comments, and export processing information including: date, time, file type, codec, bit depth, and sample rate.
Updated Interface:
Sound Grinder now includes new enhancements to the main window including: additional columns in the list view, support for loop playback and updated transport controls.
Playback with Preview:
You can now hear the results of your conversion and normalizing settings prior to conversion. Simply select your files and press OPTION+SPACE to hear the expected end result.
New Logging Options:
We have added a feature in preferences to “Log Errors and Continue Processing”. Enabling this feature instructs Sound Grinder to attempt to process all files, even if errors are encountered. Any errors or other messages will appear in a Log Window. This is very helpful for large jobs where you cannot monitor the processing, but need to be informed of any issues that may have occurred.
New Enhanced Processing Engine:
While previous versions of Sound Grinder were excellent, we thought we could do better! So for Sound Grinder 2.5, we have developed a new, enhanced processing engine, almost completely rewritten from the ground up to be faster, more efficient, rock solid and provide the groundwork for many future enhancements. We are confident that you will really enjoy this version!
With Sound Grinder's "one-window" concept, simultaneous conversions, and Rapid Convert™ functionality, you can save a lot of time converting your audio files and with excellent results.
