Online indie CD retailer, CD Baby, is now giving artists the ability to sell their music in over 2400 retail stores across America. The new service is made possible by a partnership with Super D, one of the largest one-stop CD wholesalers in the US.
"Retail stores order from a one-stop wholesaler to save time and trouble over ordering from many different distributors" says the CD Baby website. "You get paid your full CD Baby price, with no returns, and you always get paid the following week, just like a regular CD Baby sale."
It goes onto say that it is important to note that "the distributor will not just be placing CDs into stores. The stores have to buy it one-way from the distributor if they want to sell it."
