Press Release

Digidesign is shipping the Pro Tools Method One™ instructional DVD, now updated for Pro Tools® 7 software. This instructional DVD provides an easy way to learn core concepts and techniques for Pro Tools|HD®, Pro Tools LE™, or Pro Tools M-Powered™ systems. Pro Tools Method One is available from Digidesign local resellers and the online DigiStore. It is also part of the Pro Tools Ignition Pack™ collection of creative tools included with every Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools LE system.

In the DVD, composer Eddie Heidenreich—a Digidesign-certified Pro Tools Expert Instructor and former Digidesign Product Specialist—explains core concepts and Pro Tools techniques in a simple, straightforward manner. Heidenreich covers everything from setting up sessions and recording audio to editing MIDI, working with loops and plug-ins, and automating mixes. The DVD covers a host of hot new features from Pro Tools 7 including how to use Instrument tracks and the free Xpand! sample-playback/synthesis workstation from the Digidesign Advanced Instrument Research Group. Pro Tools Method One is indexed in detail, so you can easily return to any chapter or subchapter to review important topics.

Though not a substitute for certified Pro Tools training, Pro Tools Method One provides an excellent foundation for anyone interested in pursuing formal, Digidesign-certified Pro Tools training through any of the worldwide Digidesign Training Partner facilities.
