With over 800 manufacturers and suppliers of MI products covering five exhibition halls, Music China 2006 promises a wide international selection of traditional and contemporary MI products to be found nowhere else in Asia. The show will run from 18 – 21 October 2006 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, one of China’s biggest and brightest exhibition grounds.

Music China has everything: from western rock & pop staples such as electric guitars, basses and amps, classical pianos, strings, wind instruments and musical accessories, through to traditional Chinese instruments. A programme of entertainment and educational activities at Music China 2006 will keep the atmosphere lively and the visitors informed!

· The Power of Rhythm at the Shanghai International Drum Festival! Modern Player magazine is hosting a national competition in the lead-up to Music China 2006, which will bring together two-person drum and bass guitar teams from all over the country. The final playoffs will take place at the show in October, supplemented by performances by renowned drummers and bassists from around the world.

NAMM University in Shanghai

NAMM University seminars will be a new feature of Music China for 2006. Featuring ‘big issue’ panel discussions with representatives from the world’s leading MI companies and ‘how to’ sessions in Chinese for Chinese retailers, the NAMM University seminars are developed by the industry for the industry to develop the Chinese retail market.
