View Original Thread: Ray Gun Noise Reduction and Audio Restoration software

Press Release

Arboretum Systems is currently promoting its Ray Gun and Ray Gun Pro noise reduction and audio restoration software for Mac and Windows.

Both Ray Gun and Ray Gun Pro are based on downward expansion technology. This technology delivers cleaner results by generating less phase distortion artefacts than competitive products.

A number of important features have also been added to Ray Gun Pro.
Attack and decay sliders can be better tuned in to voice, percussion or sustained sounds, ensuring a better control of Noise reduction for these specific types of recordings.
The noise threshold can also be targeted to one of the three main frequency regions causing less degradation to the overall spectrum.

Ray Gun Pro has sophisticated Hum and Rumble modules allowing fine tuning of the frequency to eliminate, with a peak slider to add boost at the cut off frequency.

The Enhancer module offers the possibility to add a final touch to the cleaning job by giving control over the balance between low, mid and high frequencies as well as allowing to increase the depth of the stereo image.

Ray Gun is available for $75 instead of $99 and Ray Gun Pro for $109 instead of $149 until March 31, 2005.
Ray Gun Pro runs under Mac OS X, currently with our now free HyperEngine-AV multi-track video and audio editor and under Windows XP with DirectX v.8+.
