View Original Thread: Bet You Know This Song By The Lyrics; I Don't!

I often hear this song on Classic Vintage Rock Radio, but am never able to catch the title. I'd like to get it into my library. I may have the words misspelled, but the opening words to each chorus sound like; "My Bella Mi" --- . Every time I hear it, it seem s to be one of those that the DJ doesn't comment on. Please don't try to fool me. As an "old codger", I know it's not by Al Jolson & it's not; "When The Moon Comes Over The Mountain". Can any of you "young-uns" remember it? It can't be more than 10 to 20 years old. Thanks for any help you can give me! :?:

Any chance of more lyrics ??

Thanks for trying Stacey! Wouldn't you just know it, I've been listening closely & haven't heard the song for over a month now, so I can't get more lyrics until I hear it. I do however, remember that at the end of each chorus, the opening words are repaeated with a few extra; "---My Bella Mi I'm In love With You". I can "hear" the music (chorus' AND bridges), but the words are vague in my mixed up mind. If there were a way online, I could make the musical notations (lay out the notes). If I get no further post replies, I'll just keep listening to "Classic Rock Radio" for more & maybe phone & bother a busy DJ. After spending nearly 5 years as a Radio Broadcaster myself, in the 60s, I know that the guy "on-the-board" really doesn't have time for bothersome phone calls.

or for remembering song titles:)

Try this: My Belle Ami - by Tea Set

if I might add...10 to 20 years is the difference between hip-hop, hair bands and classic rock:)

EUREKA!!! Thanks Brien! You're a GENIUS! Well, at least you've got a great memory. I was able to locate it; I'm a Happy Camper tonight! It's actually "Ma Belle Amie" by Tee Set, but you were close enough for me to find it. I actually joined this forum just to find the title of this song, but I've been so impressed by the willingness of everyone to help, that until I need another question answered, I think I'll check into this site every day or two just to see if I might be able to help someone else. Thanks again for your expertise!!!
