Hi all.
Does anyone know of a program to convert GM MIDI files to MT-32 MIDI files? I know the the conversion may not be perfect, depending on what instruments are being used, but at least it would be a start.
Thanks. |

Even if you converted the file, the question is, will your sound card play it? It (the sound cards ability to play Roland MT32) may have to be converted first.
While your thinking over what kind of sound card you have, check out these two links:

No problems with sound card compatibility ... I have an actual Roland MT-32. - Nice!
Thanks for those links; the 2nd one didn't appear to be helpful, but the 1st one could be a gold mine, from a quick initial look ... it might even have some useful stuff about my Yamaha XG YMF724 sound card (with MIDI interface). |

| Game port that has to convert to be used as a MIDI port. |

| Not quite sure what you are meaning, but the card does have a DB-15F connector on it that is both a joystick/game controller and MIDI connector - I have a cable (currently in use on it) that breaks out to a joystick connector and 2 MIDI plugs (in & out) - all plugged in appropriately. |
