I have been running limewire for a while now, and all of a sudden, every download is infected with Wimad and all sorts of Trojan virus'. Can't download any dammed thing anymore without all the security in xp going off. Anyone know the cure or is it a trap, to suck you in to pay to upgrade to the bloody Pro version ?

You are a reckless and silly Internet user,

Get some "PAID FOR" virus protection bonehead! NOT the online kind...get something store bought.

Thanks for the 1st grade lesson, in common sense, really needed that.
I asked a serious question.
The virus protection and security worked fine. That is the problem. I was asking, is it the norm, for the program/Limewire, to instill a virus into every download, and is there a cure for it ?

Once a virus infects a computer it is a lot like your family. It can come and go as it pleases. Walk into any room it chooses and touch anything it so desires.

It is completely irrelevant if limewire does this or not.

You are infected because that is what happens as a by-product of using peer-2-peer software.

Being ignorant of this is no excuse for being ignorant of this.

It is also not enough reason for me to act all grown up.

When you move around the 'net and get what looks like free music or full blown software or full length DVDs or porn or scanned books on how to save a life...the virus comes with it...do you know why?

Because there is no free lunch!
