I'm having a surprisingly difficult time finding a piece of music software to meet some very basic needs. I need to read from MIDI input and play a .wav sample at the correct pitch, with support for a pitch bender and modulation.
The catch: it has to be simple and efficient. This VSTi stuff isn't working for me unless I run ASIO4ALL, which I have some difficulties with.
Music module software (I've been using modplug) comes really close, but doesn't read bender or modulation wheels.
