help please! why change the sound after Cool Edit sesion?

I have a mix that sounds terrific inside the program, but when I make the change to mp3 or simply hear the .wav file in another windows software it sounds like an amplification of 100000 (you know terrible distorted sound), same thing when I traslate the song to an Audio CD with Nero or Easy CD music CD option. the only way to hear a good sound is inside cool edit. I have tried in diferent computers and I have the same problem. What could be wrong? Thanks a lot guys!
