all i want is to listen back to my midi drum scores that i have produced in cakewalk 9. ive only just installed isis maxi into my pc (windows me)and the audio record works fine. but i cant figure out how to get the right source/port combination for the playback of my midi drum files.the in built sound card was an ess audiodriver ive tried to remove it but the pc automatically reinstalled it ,how do i change the default driver. i know the isis maxi sound card has its own sound bank but alas i dont know how to access it.ive gone into settings and checked audio devices and it all checks out.... i dont need a fantastic sound but all ive got so far is accoustic piano.....arrgghhh can u help??????? i know its an old set up but it does everything i need it to except this small problem ....

I'm not certain what the real question is here, but, if you have two soundcards and you want to shut off the built in(pci) sound card you must re-boot your computer and go into BIOS SETUP, usually the F1 or DELETE key will get you to it. Once in the BIOS setup, locate the built in sound card section and turn it off.

If that wasn't the question....what was:)
