Recently ,many people around came to wonder what exactly is EACC,what are its advantages over other formats and how about its audio quality.
To my knowledge, EACC is a new kind of optimized audio format to be applied in handsets, and its extension name is .m4a, using different decoding rate from that of .mp3.
EACC audio features many merits, among which the following several points are especially outstanding: superior audio quality, not a far cry from high-quality CD, and equivalent to MP3. Anyway it depends on your own taste and demand to give it certain credits. It takes up a much smaller memory than MP3 , and as a result you can store audio files in your mobile for any size of the memory cord.
For all its merits, its demerit may annoy many. EACC has a bad compatible ability, that is to say ,only a few handsets at present can play .m4a audio files. So if you have some .m4a files at hand ,want to play them on your Nokia 6280,but get a warning that ‘no filter is found’ or something like this ,then you have to convert the files into what your Nokia supports. It is indeed a nuisance, but it just goes this way.
As 3G phone is becoming more and more ubiquitous, at the same time of enjoying its amazing new features, people begin to gripe about the compatibility of their handsets with the popular formatted videos or audios they can download from Internet or get any other way. Even their mobiles do support certain formats, they come to comment on the quality of the image and audio.
Some people have such a question in mind that how to make 3gp video played with higher definition. As you know, for the same video coded in different formats, the larger the file is, the better quality the video obtains. 3GP and MPEG4 are two commonly used formats in 3G phones. They apply different compression technologies. MPEG4 uses a lower compression ratio, thus resulting in a larger volume, but of course enjoys higher video quality. You can convert between these two formats and see how much different these two videos will come to be. You can also convert other conventional videos to these two formats and watch movies while on-the-go. A lot of information on this aspect is available on this site: you can have a try by yourself .I did an experiment and found no distinctions that made me very favorable of one format, since they are both within the boundary of the same acceptable bottom line. |
