|
|
hi y'all. first, i'm a tech "have-not" when it comes to understanding the digital world. wanting to learn digital recording... bought a y-aw1600. following all the directions, plug in my guitar to record on track one, and i get an error message: "wrong word clock". a friend who has a studio but not familiar with the 1600 said he thought the clock would be sync'd internally and not sure why i am getting that message. anyway, i've not been able to record anything. any suggestions as to how i can get this corrected?
thanks.

A few questions.
I will assume this is a new unit. That being said, is there ANY external MIDI devices plugged into the recorder? If the answer is yes, then you must place one(either one depending on your preference) as the "Master" and the other as the "Slave."
If the answer is "no" then turn off the Word Clock. You do not need it "unless" you are sending/recieving MIDI data. And I will assume that your guitar is a standard guitar and not a MIDI type.
Call me if you need more help, |
