I got a manager who lives in N.y. And next year he's gonna make me a singer. Isn't that cool?

That would depend on your location, the kind of music you sing, and how old are you? i might be able to hook you up with something. reply.

That site is terrible! you have to pay like $20.00 to et record company info and who knows if they will even except you? I have a BIG list of address's and emails of record company's. Contact me at beavis1193@hotmail.com thanks. I won't make you pay either I will copy paste. on an email.

Well yeah u have to pay for the book, but it does give u some listing of record companies for free on the link i posted. I have 2 books that have hundreds of record companies, entertainment lawyers, venues, showcase areas, managers, publishing companies..etc. I did have to pay like $30. For those but it was worth the money. Just having a list of record companies isn't going to get u anywhere. Most don't accept "unsolicited material"..a lot of these books already tell u which ones do and don't. So it won't do u any good to have a list of record companies and just waste time sending press kits and demos to the ones that are going to either throw them in the trash or send them right back to you, plus before u can get a record deal most of the time u have to have a manager to sell u to the record companies, and the book is good for finding a manager too, and for each listing it gives u the names and phone number to the important people in that company. I'm not saying to buy the book, but my point is that if you really want to be a singer there is going to have to be some kind of money u invest to get u where u want to be. It's good for any singer or musician to have a music industry listing book, that way u do have a reference of people u can contact. I'm not saying just to buy any book..a lot aren't worth the price, but it is a good idea to find out which ones the best and is it worth the amount there asking. Mine cost 15.99 each and it's called the musician's guide, and it's updated yearly. Just surfing the web and looking up addresses isn't going to do the trick. Some things r just worth it...
