| Hello, My name is Chasity Michele, i am 15 years old, i ahev been writing songs for about 3 years, however been singing since i could talk. Singing is more than a "thing" to me...it's a passion. I have wanted to become a country music singer for a very long time now. I also play the piano by ear. I have won many contest. I'm tired of dreaming...I want to make it reality. I know it will take alot of hard work, but i can do it. Please, any advice from anyone? |

You keep saying what you "can't" do and what you're not good at! Lots of famous singers got started working with a lot less than what you have to work with right now. I hate to tell you this but you can LEARN to be a songwriter and the reason why I mentioned songwriting at all is because when you write your own songs you own the rights to them (unless you sign them away).
I hate to disappoint you but yes you can start a talent show and it doesn't matter how tiny your town is - you have the Internet - you could have an international talent show. I get spam mail about this all the time!
As far as you not being a very good computer person let me ask you a question. Would you learn the computer enough so that you could make your own demo tape and having control over how its made as opposed to paying a recording studio to make a demo tape for you?
The one thing about the Britney Spears and Madonnas is that they had desire, passion and drive! |

| Well I guess I could try. But I would probably have to save up about 200 dollars before I do, if I do that is. it would only take about 6 months lol. I guess I could just wait until I hear more from my manager/producer/songwriter. |

Hey
Im a starting singer im 15 and live in Russia , Singing has been my passions for some years now i never thought of it as a profession until some years ago i thought why not ? i love to sing and people say i have a really nice voice but the problem is where i live there arent many contests for starting artists well there are some but you have to be over 18 and personally i dont want to wait, i want to start now so i can work on my future on my career. I've started to write lyrics recently but i dont make beats which isnt helping me, so i was thinking maybe i need a producer ? or is getting a record deal better ??? Im confused but would someone from the USA (Producer,Record company) want someone who lives so far away. I know ill do everything for it i just need advice with what to start on what to do first ? Should i keep on trying to look for a producer or should i do something else ? people around me arent actually supporting me which is making it worse really because they think its a "teen thing" they think i want to be popular and rich of course if i may say so that is a big plus but i would just want to do something i love just live the life i want and i'll do everythingin my power to do so but yeah as i said above i need some help because at the moment i am confused on what i should do now? |
