Hi! My name is Andrew and I bought the Magix music Studio 2005 deluxe software. The reason I bought was I want to take a song and edit it so that I only hear one part at a time (as in just the guitar, violin etc.). I played with this thing for about 3 hours and I still don't even understand it. If anyone knows how to edit like that it would be extremely helpful if you could E-mail me or post here.
Thanks,
Andrew |

Sorry bro, there is no possible way to efficiently extract individual tracks from an MP3. Once all the tracks have been mixed down in the studio and put onto a cd or on the internet, you can't take them apart.
The only help I can give you is that there are a few programs out there for vocal extraction, but the only other thing you could try is to download or buy a wide-range equalizer, load the mp3/wav/whatever, and tinker with the frequency settings.
Good luck to ya! |

Magix has a built in FFT filter, which is an excellent envelope filter you can apply to the frequencies of a tune (it has drawing capabilities to fine tune the filter)...
First extract the audio from whatever your source into magix audio studio...then when you bring up the mixer, take a gander at your master controls (far right)....at the very top next to the "Vocodor" function key is the FFT Filter...buy using this fx filter you are able to roll off all highs, lows, mids or expand the db's of whichever frequency you want.
This is an excellent tool for isolating the frequency response of a vocal track...it won't completely wipe out the other frequencies in use, but you can get extremely close...
If you are wanting to use this vocal/frequency isolation as a sampling tool, you'll need to mix down the filtered finished track to a WAV. file for use in your composition...
I hope this info was what you were after |
