Hi, I want to become a singer but, I'm only 12. It's been my dreams of becoming a singer since I moved to the United States when i ws 2 after I was adopted. I've wanted to become a singer, but I thought I didn't have any potential and the talent. But, when I started to sing along with music and sing all y\the time people told me I have a lot of potencial. SO PLEASE HELP ME BECOME A SINGER!!!!! Crying or Very sad

If you want to learn to sing do the following:
First learn how to breathe correctly. Get a book on yoga if you have to. Then get a copy of Bat Out Of Hell (the first one) by Meatloaf, go on the internet and get all the words to the songs, and sing along. Try to do this everyday at least and several times a day if your parents or roommate won't kill you. It's impossible to sing all the words correctly and get the timing right and not breathe properly. It's very good practice.
Another suggestion get a copy of the book "The Contempory Singer". You can get it online and it costs about $35.00 US. The cd has vocal scales to practice with. Sing along with the radio, not just one style of music but several. This will broaden your vocal range. NO SMOKING. It ruins your voice.
And like people says practice, practice, practice.
