I have posted on this forum before with advice to aspriing singers, most need advice or help on how to get a record deal or manager or how to make a demo and since most don't have the facilities the kno how or the money to make there first demo i have decided to offer some services.
For 8 years now i have been doing music seriously, I already have my vocal performance degree and now i am working on a music business/production degree. I have a professional set up with software and hardware such as sonar, cubase sx3, wavelab, kinetic, external mixer, nueman mic, and more... mostly for vocals i recieve over the net i use the software to mix and master the songs and run the track thru the mixer. If u want to work with me, I will go into further detail about exactly how the process will go. I have already produced and wrote many songs now and am working on demo cd's at the moment with people in my area. So in saying all that, if there is anybody who is very, very, very..serious about music and is willing to put in some hard work and dedication that it takes to make good music, and a good demo to get u out there i am 100 percent willing to help them on the demo end for example writing songs, lyrics and even producing and mixing and mastering the songs. You will have to have some knowledge of the computer b/c u will have to be sending vocal tracks via the internet and u will be installing some easy to use programs on ur computer to record vocals and convert to mp3 format to send. Having a good mic for ur computer is also a good thing..but not a must..but i will say that the quality of the vocals will be affected by the type of microphone u use..since everyone doesn't own a studio condensor mic or a shure sm58 mic, just a good dynamic mic ( the kind that come w/karaoke machines) will work. I'm am offering this for free of charge for 3 songs ...but 3 r enough for a first demo cd. But as i said only serious singers only..and i will need to hear a song clip of u singing before i commit fully to the project b/c having talent.."real" talent is key..thats how the music business is..i don't do alot studio fixing for voices (might correct a pitch that is off here and there if its an overall good take) . If u can't sing in key then u won't get a record deal, but who doesn't kno that..unless ur britney spears..(sorri to u britney fans..but its tru) and no one under 14 ( unless u send me some vocals..and u have expetional talent for ur age..i might reconsider) ..basically i say that b/c if ur under that age u need to give urself some time and ur voice time to develop .. b/f u start trying to get in the music industry.
Once the demo is finished i also have contacts to labels both major and indie that i can give u so u can start gettin ur demo out there.

My limit is 2 people at the moment, depending on how that goes..i will consider more, considering i already have projects goin at the moment with others..i can do too many songs at once. So for anybody that sends me clips of there vocals i will be choosing the 2 based off of skill, work ethic, and most of all dedication. I really don't have time to waste on someone that isn't serious and just wants some free songs they can say they did. I take music seriously and i expect anyone that i work with to do so too, it takes time and work to mix and master and produce songs. Thats usually why people charge so much money for productions and studio fees. The reason im doin this is b/c i believe anyone that has tru talent shound not be hindered by the fact that they don't have the money or resources to make a demo that might get them a record deal or manger, and the demo is the first thing u need before u even try to start getting a record deal or management contract, b/c its the first thing they ask for, and its basically wat represents u and ur voice as an artist.
Oh..and i mainly only do r&b and pop or rock/pop i.e. ashlee
simpson, the veronicas..etc music as far as writing music and lyrics go, but if u have ur own songs that don't fall into those categories and u just want me to mix and master them to give u a more professional sound thats fine too. I will also say that one of the 3 songs can be a cover song (basically means done by someone else famous) so if u have a song by ur favorite artist or one that u can sing really well and u think that shows ur range and style and want to do that, that is fine..and don't worry if u done have the instrumental track for the song i can usually get it, also if u can write lyrics thats cool, and if u like to co-write lyrics (like if u have a song but just can't think of anymore lyrics for it..or u have one but don't kno how to put it into song format) ..thats ok too..im willing to work w/someone on lyrics too. |
