Carver Professional™, a division of Phoenix Gold International, Inc. showcases its exciting Xi Series Amplifiers, designed for rock solid power and affordability, at the Systems Integration Expo, sponsored by the National Systems Contractors Association® in Orlando, Florida.
The Xi Series Amplifiers are ideal for use in commercial installations, houses of worship, nightclubs, and anywhere a reliable yet reasonably priced power amp is required. The series includes four new models — the Xi2600 and Xi1850 Amplifiers, which require three-rack spaces, and the Xi1150 and Xi850 Amplifiers, requiring two-rack spaces.
The Xi2600, the most powerful model in the series, is rated for 2600 watts mono into 4 ohms, 1600 watts mono into 8 ohms and 800 watts stereo into 4 ohms. Several of the Xi2600s were installed at the Summer Olympic Games in Athens, where they proved well suited to driving long-throw speakers to maximum levels of quality and sonic performance at a number of Olympic venues.
All four Xi Series models feature a package of practical and performance-enhancing features, including Signal Smart energy-saving standby circuitry; a switch for mono, parallel or stereo operation; and, for each channel, soft-knee style clip limiting, selectable input sensitivity at either .775v or 1.5v, level control bypass, a high-pass filter, selectable at 40 and 80 Hz, and a low-pass filter, selectable at 80 and 120 Hz.
Speakon® and five-way binding post outputs are provided for each channel as well as a separate Speakon output for mono bridge operation. The inputs feature quarter-inch and XLR connections for each channel. All models also include built-in protection against short circuits, and excess thermal, ultrasonic and RF conditions.

Xi1150 — continuous operation at 1/3 rated power
· 1100W x 1 @ 4 Ohms, and 900W x 1 @ 8 Ohms mono
· 550W x 2 @ 2 Ohms stereo, continuous operation at 35% full power
· 450W x 2 @ 4 Ohms, and 225W x 2 @ 8 Ohms stereo
Xi850 — continuous operation at 1/3 rated power
· 750W x 1 @ 4 Ohms, and 600W x 1 @ 8 Ohms mono
· 375W x 2 @ 2 Ohms stereo, continuous operation at 35% full power
· 300W x 2 @ 4 Ohms, and 200W x 2 @ 8 Ohms stereo
