|
|
Hi
I'm an acoustic songwriter wanting to record just voice and acoustic guitar -- so compared to certain other recordists my requirements are fairly modest. That said, I do want a program that will enable me to produce my recordings to master quality (and without having to plug in other sub-programs). I'm thinking that Samplitude will be a good choice.
My recording procedure will be this:
record acoustic guitar
record vocal
comp as required
mixdown, with eq, compression, ambience etc
burn to CD
For me, the main editing is likely to be *comping*, mostly for voice, but sometimes also for guitar -- and it's very important to me to get a program which will make this editing a breeze.
I believe that the newer versions of Samplitude have an improved "take composer" tool which is designed specifically for the comping procedure.
Does this work really well -- or should I consider some other program like Sonar or Cubase?
Any advice would be most welcome!
Best regards
