|
|
Hi
I plan on getting Samplitude V9. I already have a Yamaha AW16G. One possibility is to
record onto the AW16G and transfer the .wav files to Samplitude.
The AW16G has on optical/toslink (IEC958) digital stereo input. Would it be possible to monitor my Samplitude work/mixes by running a USB or firewire cable from my computer (via corresponding adaptor) to the optical input of the AW16G (and from there to monitors)?
If I can do that, I will not have to buy an additional audio interface!

Monitor using headphones:0
Who is in charge of making the samplitude signal go to the firewire/usb chord? Does your soundcard have a firewire/usb connection?
Run a soundout cable from your soundcard to one/two of the sound inputs on the Yamaha.
Don't complicate things. |
