does anyone know what sounds to use for a talk box and what keyboard i can get for whatever sound used by roger troutman?? i use tuba cuz that is the only sound on my keyboard that sounds similar..but its not it...i wanna be able to sing with it...also it needs to be a sound that doesnt cross notes when you roll down the note scale(not sure what that is called) i read the sounds roger used were FM PULSE and SAWTOOTH. BUT if anyone knows the exact keyboard he used for all the recent songs he did just before he passed away....i seen the keyboard on a Tech N9ne EXPERIENCE documentary but i couldnt see the name of it. PLEASE HELP..i registered for this site specifically for this answer. ~KYLE

Talkbox, wasn't that when JoeWalsh plugged his guitar into a microphone, put the mic on a stand next a hot mic plugged into an amp?

Kinda the same thing as a Vocoder, which is what you are most likely looking for.

>FM PULSE and SAWTOOTH

These are different ways to mathimatically manipulate a wave:

were this particular wave graphically looks like a row of saw teeth.

These should help you in your quest but if you need more, ask for more.

Thought it was a vocoder but it was the JoeWalsh talkbox we were looking for.

No charge.
