I know man, I tried the same thing for along time and then just gave up...
I found the complete program, but it won't load without the proper equipment hooked up to the computer.
Someone PLZ help us out! |

| If you go to their (www.digidesign.com) site and read the information, you will find that ProTools Free can only be used with Windows '98. There is no real support now by digidesign, either. I do believe though, there is a way to make Windows XP act/run like '98 under a compatability setting in the control panel or something like that. As far as I know though, you can not run ProTools Free directly using Windows XP. There are lots of gear that will work with the program, although I use LE and the 002 surface unit. I almost bought MOTU gear, but there are lots of other companies: Frontier Design Group, M Audio, Edirol, Mackie, Presonus, just to name a few ... I hope this helps, I can admit on the suface it doesn't seem like it, but I hope it does. Good luck |

Pro Tools FREE does NOT run on Windows XP.
It only runs on the following platforms:
- Windows 98 or ME
- Macintoch OS v8.6 & v9.x
You have to buy Pro Tools LE if you want to run it on Windows XP |
