[quote="ruwanshaun"]hey!

Finally! someone to help me =)

I actually reside in Malaysia but am going to further my studies in Australia and hope to enter auditions there especially with BMG.

Do you know how I can go about it? And Im a student and so dont have that much spare cash to hire an agent let alone a good one

thanks so so much

hi Ruwanshaun

im glad 2 help. Sony BMG is changing. Instead of sending in CDs they have launched a new website where you can post all your songs. The best thing to do is to record some songs, even if its just on a phone or computer and post them on this website. Get a cool picture and really try and make your page stand out from the crowd. Tell all your friends about it because the more people who know the better chance of getting spotted. The website it: www.columbiademos.co.uk or www.rcademos.co.uk.

Hope it helps you

hi Rebecca
just to know how old is ur friend? if allowed a good way to be discovered is to make a myspace music account. its quick and easy to do and you can put on ur friend singing and performing. i do need some more information about ur friend's situation though (not to be like a pervert) but just to help.

get back to me. I would love to give more advice

Lizzie

p.s. if ur friend can't go to a drama school etc. tell her to join school choirs. teachers (i no it may sound strange) can be quite supportive so ask she should ask a music teacher (A nice one) how she could improve .

hi Amy
i know many people who weren't allowed singing lessons but still made it. its sweet to know that you want to help out your parents. Remember how big the world wide web is. You can put postings on youtube, make profiles on bebo, myspace, facebook etc. tell all your friends about the sites. Listen to lots of songs and see what styles you like and how you can make them your own. If you want I can give you advice for breathing exercises and warms ups, and if you can give me some information about your voice type, maybe some suitable songs. Join choirs at your school and try and hint to your music teachers that singing is what you want to do professionally. Tell your friends and sing for them. Hope that this helps and if you want any more information, just ask.
