Hi there.

I need to make up a lead for the front panel Midi ports on my Audigy card.
Its a Mini Midi to normal 5 pin midi cable I require

The Mini midi looks like a ps2 mouse/keyboard plug with 1 pin missing.

Can anyone recall the pin configuration of the mini (male) plug so I can make this lead up?

Thanks heaps. Cool

I just came across this post so you may already have the answer. I have a yellow cable bought from Radio Shack with larger male 5 pin on each end. To one end I have a short black cable adapter large female jack on one end connecting to the yellow cable, other end is male mini midi plug. I have Audigy 2 Platinum on front of PC (mini) and have a Kaypro sequencer. I only use midi in to PC so I do not know how midi out is wired. Seems to work well. This is the continuity check: Looking into each male plug (not the jack) with the alignment notch on top, pins on sides and bottom, numbering the pins counter-clockwise, mini plug to large plug: #1-> #2, #2 -> #3, #5 -> #4, no continuity from #3 and 4 of mini , and outside metal connector of mini to large has no continuity. You should verify this with another source and I also do not know how this would work on your particular setup. Good Luck!
