| I have a problem I am starting an industrial band like NIN,skinny puppy, ministry, etc. So i want a Midi controlleror i think that is what i need to make those great background keyboard sounds that are in those songs by those artists. So i kinda of need help figureing which one to buy. I either want an Oxygen8, Ozone, O2 usb midi controller, Korg MicroKontrol, or the Alesis Photon x25, or anything within the 300 dollar range. Also is it a midi controller/keyboard or something else to make those sounds in the songs. im not sure what they all do and i have descriptions over and over but i am still not sure which one would be best for my application. please help!!!! |

That is a tall order for such little cash. A controller is nothing more then the Master. In a typical setup it might be the keyboard that, when you press a key on the Master, it plays a tone from another slaved MIDI box. For what you are suggesting you may want to consider the Triton keyboard. It is an all in one type workstation.
Controllers and MIDI patch bays plus external synth, digital boxes can run into a lot of cash, and you have to get midi cables for each one plus figure out/retain the in/out of each one in any given setup.
With the Korg Triton you can just jump in and not have to worry about what MIDI even means:)
You might also try a search for "what is MIDI" at your favorite search engine to get a better understanding of the musical instrument digital interface specs. |
