Does anyone know if I need to have my previous version of Komplete loaded onto the machine which i upgrade on. I have it on a previous machine which is broken and I cannot get any software off. I have also lost the CD's in the move. Anyone know what the process would be to upgrade. Is the Komplete 5 version a full version that can be loaded without concern for previous versions.

Just had a look at a site from which to get Komplete 5.
It appears to be a full version which does not need a
previous version installed to be able to use it.
An upgrade to me is a later version of a program which
you already have but with extra "tweaks".
It should be cheaper 'cos you're just buying the extras,
not the basic program.
Like buying a car and adding seat covers.
If you don't have or can't find the original disks you
would have to start from scratch.
I've never had the need to upgrade a bought program
so I don't know how much it affects the price.
Any other ideas out there?

None, except...you gotta find a way to prove that you had it already...if this is to be a reduced rate based on that.
A typical software upgrade, generic, will look to see what you have that is being upgraded. You don't have it on the disk it searches, it may not upgrade. |
