Can Audacity be programmed to record a given sound-signal from a given date/time until another given date/time ?
Example : let(s say this evening a radio-station broadcasts a concert. It starts at 20:00 and ends at 22:15. And I'm not at home to start my Audacity to record it.
So, is there a function with which I can tell Audacity to start recording at 20:00 and end it at 22:15 ?
If not possible, who knows a program that has this function ? Preference for public domain or not too expensive software.
Thanks,
Wim |

I haven't found that function in Audacity but a program called
Messer (memo session sound recorder) will do what you want.
It works - I've tried it.
It's development was stopped in 2000 but is still availeable for
download. It's a free prog.
You can record direct to wav or record on the fly tp mp3.
I've just registered so I'm a bit late with this reply - sorry 'bout dat but
someone else might find it usefull.
It's easy to find if you Google it. |

A belated second reply to this one one but.....
Just found another prog to do this job.
It's called the "Fox Magic Audio Recorder"
It's free and can be downloaded from Fox Magic Software.
It's not supported but does come with a fairly
comprehensive help file. |
