I use a Korg M1 keyboard through a Lexicon Alpha interface to create the MIDI stuff on the songs I record using Cubase LE 4 on my Dell Inspiron computer. Since a fairly recent problem with the computer that required "emptying" the hard drive and reinstalling stuff, I have had a problem. After I have been trying to add MIDI to existing songs, whether on a new track or altering an existing track, and things have been fine, suddenly, whatever I add is out of synch with the rest of the song. The beat of whatever the new addition is proper in relation to itself and to the song as a whole but it is slightly ahead of the rest of the song. I and my guru are stumped. If I close the project and turn off the computer, it works well again for awhile but then slips back into its bad ways. My guru attributes it to my gutless computer, but I did not have this problem before it was worked on. Help! While I'm at it, an annoying problem that I have had since I got the Cubase is that, if I have quite a few tracks of Audio recorded (mostly voice), the audio parts develop static noise after I've been working on it for a while. If I close the project and restart it, the noise static is gone but eventually comes back. Is my computer not up to the task or is there something I could do to fix the problem?
