I am 13 years old almost 14 and i want to be a singer. i want to get a singing techer so she can help me. the problem is i am very shy with my singing and not confident.
I don't sing in front of anyone only sometimes my friend or brother not my parents or anyone else. i used to sing when i was very little and was good but i just stopped. sometimes i sing when no ones home and i LOVE singing i think its so much FUN!!!
I think i am good and i want to get a teacher so i can improve.

heyahh
i have literally the same problem as youuu
except ive recently got a singing teacher and ive had 3 lessons so far and I'm a lot more confident about it all now
I stopped being confident when my step dad said somethinnng and I took it the wrong way and it all stopped there :'(
Just take a deep breath and ask your parents for singing lessons or book them yourself :S
it's scary at the time but then when you've got someone halping youuu
I haven't got as confident to sing in front of my parents yet but hopefully soon I will be able to, I really want to be a singer too!
I totally agree withh you
by the way im 12 nearly 13 so your about a year oldeer
have you got email/msn?

Hi there
I know how you feel, you know about being shy and not confident.
Getting a singing teacher would be the right way to go...
just talk to your parents i think they'll understand...
If you feel like your not confident then you can sing for someone that you sang in front of before and ask them to tell you how you sing....
i tried that with many of my friends and they told me i had a great voice...
I'm pretty sure that your friends will do the same if you asked...
you shouldn't let anyone or anything stop you from singing if you can sing then go on and sing your heart out...
i sing all the time when I'm alone at home that way i can hear myself without any interruptions..... its a good thing to do..... but try more in front of a crowd ........
you should get a teacher...... i think I'm gonna get one to..
oh yea i for got to mention I'm 15 a year older than you we're not that far from the same problem...
take care and much love -*nana* |

| Start by singing for friends and family first (the ones who are supportive). Ask them what things that you need to work on and tackle those areas. Keep asking for more feedback and start to expand the number of people that you sing for. This will take time, but it will help you with your problem |
