| Please recommend a software that can remove much of the background instruments from a song and leave the vocals. |

It's possible to remove the vocal (with varying success) and keep the background music but not possible to do the reverse.
Currently there are no programs I'm aware of which can do this although it should be possible.
Vocal removers work by discarding vocals as data which is common to both the left and right tracks of a recording. As this commonly includes the bass and drums which are usually centrally panned they are removed or at least reduced also.
Working on the same principal if a program were created to keep the vocal it would also include the bass and drums and not be a true acapella. |
