|
|
| Here's what I want to do....I have an electric piano with MIDI in and out. I have a computer capable of being connected to the piano. I want to use the piano as a controller for playing and recording real-time tracks onto the computer. These tracks would involve various voices such as strings, percussion, brass, etc. I then want to be able to sequence them all on the computer into a finished song that can be burned to a CD. Basically I want a 'home recording studio' on my computer but the instruments will all be played through the electric piano. Vocals are also required through the use of a mic hooked up to the computer. What is the best software for the job without an astronomical price. I have tried Cakewalk but it seems more involved than I need it to be - I also had no instructions for Cakewalk so it was a little intimidating. Ease of use is important without being simplistic. Any suggestions are appreciated. |

A no fuss type interface can be found at:

At least that is what "they" say. I personally use Cakewalk so it does not seem complicated to me, but neither does tying my shoes now that I am not two years old::) |

| Thanks for the advice brien. Tracktion 2 looks promising at first glance. I'm hoping that your reference to tying your shoes being easy because you're not 2 years old anymore was only a comparison and not meant as an insult. When I first read your posting I was a little offended by the statement since it sounds like you're implying that my skills are like those of a toddler. I certainly hope that was not the intent and will assume that it was a harmless comparison. Thanks again for the link. |

Certainly not my friend. My reference was, when I didn't know how to do something it seemed difficult...but now I know and it isn't.
Can I say this? All I have is love for ya and I do not even know you. |
