Hello, I am new to the Designers world and I am a current student in college . I am wanting to find out how to add a Midi player to my personal website. I also want to know what the best midi player is that is free.
What part of the page do I add it to? I am currently using Dreamweaver 8 and I am making a 12 page web site and want to have the music play on all pages. Is there a way to do this? |

Oh man... unless the site is music related, and I mean specifically related to the actual MIDI playing, why oh why would want to do it... it's just so 1993.
Nevertheless, How to Add Background Music to Your Web Page: http://www.thesitewizard.com/webdesign/backgroundmusic.shtml |

Your best bet is to search the listings of free java or CGI scripts for a media player. Most media players will play MIDI files as well as MP3s etc.
You may then have to read up on how to instal these scripts. They can be quite tricky to get working.
Alternatively, the files will play automatically when using a simple HTML link command, provided the visitor to your website has a media player installed on their computer (and most people have these days).
