| In the olden days you got some records and a tape deck and recorded a bit of this and a bit of that and got yourself a pre mixed soundtrack for your kids fashion show. How do you do this on a mac and put it on a CD with free software. I only want clips from songs not whole tracks and i want to be able to fade them into each other and cut bits in. Please help i know it's simple but I can't find the right software and the fashion show is iminent |

First your going to need to get the music to you mac if it isn't already. Assuming it's from a CD, you will need a CD Ripper. http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/AppleiTunesOSX/ iTunes is a freebie.. or my guess is you probably have something included already. So rip your music as an MP3, not AAC.
Next... Grab Audacity http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Audacity_OSX/ It's free and you should be able to do what you need to do with minimal fuss.
Done and burn. |
