|
|
Any week that we list a lot of freeware software undoubtedly makes for a -- well -- funner week. There's more to download, more to fiddle with and most importantly more to make music with! So with more (I've used "more" about 7 times already if you count the title) action and less talk, here's a selection of what's new and free for this week:
Neuromixer Pro 0.5b is a full featured audio and video mixer for both Windows and Mac. There is also Neuromixer Vdrum, an audio video step sequencer and drum machine.
Reverb-O-Matic v1.1 is a A VST plug-in reverberator effect based on Moorer's reverb model.
Kn0ck0ut v0.8 takes two mono inputs and spectrally subtracts one from the
other - so you could try extracting vocals from music.
Pseudograins v1.05 is described as being a sample mangler. It's a VST plug-in.
NoteGraphica 0.8 is a WaveTable Synth. Also VST.
After a Brickwall Limiter / Transparent Maximizer? Give BuzMaxi3 1.01 a shot.
This one got the SMM weekly editor's choice award. NWEQ, a high quality parametric equalizer VST plug-in.
Enough plug-ins already you're thinking? FreeRIP MP3 2.941 is a CD ripper that encodes MP3 and Ogg Vorbis.
And Mac users take a look at skiTunes 0.3, labeled as being a fast, extensible, open-source iTunes alternative. Let us know what you think.
Not enough? There's more freeware programs listed on the What's New page at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/new.html as well as some must-download demos and shareware programs. |
