Software Description

MiGTracker Millenium is a music composing program for Windows. Unlike traditional computer sequencers MiGTracker Millenium uses a tracker-based system, which allows a composer to manually edit every single piece of a song with great ease and precision.

MiGTracker Millenium can use any MIDI compatible device for output and can also export the created music data to a standard MIDI file. This makes MiGTracker Millenium an excellent tool to easily create background music for further modification in professional sequencer suites like Cakewalk and Cubase.

Here are some of MiGTracker Millenium's specifications:

  • General
    • Up to 64 'MiGTracker' channels
    • 16 MIDI channels
    • Up to 64 steps per pattern
    • Up to 100 patterns
    • Up to 200 positions
  • Song Control
    • Up to 30 realtime program changes
    • Realtime volume, brightness, reverb, panning and other effects
    • Realtime speed control

Doesn't work

I downloaded Mig Tracker from several sites & they are say that there is an I/O problem when installing. When you click on the abort button during install, it says corrupt installation file.

It crashed on my computer

I have an AMD Duron 1300 with Windows 98 SE

Windows ME ,Athlon Thunderbird , 128MB RAM...

I downloaded this, Installed it, rebooted, and the next thing you know - windows doesn't load.
("..explorer has made a critical error and will be shut down..")
There was nothing I could do to fix it. safe-mode, uninstalling, restoring backups - all failed to get my system running.
There was no other choice but to format my hard drive!

note that this happened on my win98 system. when I installed it on an NT it didn't crash the system but the program couldn't load.

anyway, it might work for you (maybe if you're running win2000), but I wouldn't risk it if I were you.

Are you serious?

I you're serious than that is a very big problem. Let me introduce myself, I am the creator of MiGTracker Millenium. (You probably hate me now..)

I have installed MiGTracker on various systems including:

Athlon 600, Win98
Pentium III 450, Win98
Pentium II 400, Win98
Athlon 1 Ghz, Win98

On all these systems install and setup were absolutely no problem. I am sorry to hear that it did not work on your system. The installation package was made with the Wise Installation Builder so it might be an undocumented bug in their software that I do not know about.

Hopefully no-one else has these kinds of problems. If so, please let me know and write a mail to: migoutpost@hetnet.nl. I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Are you serious?

I've installed the program on a PII double proc. with win 2000, and it works just fine! It's a very usefull program by the way!
