Independent developer Takana introduces a new audio meta-data analysis tool: Audio Spy.

Audio Spy is a new tool for audio proffesionals, including audio engineers, mastering engineers, and audio archivists. It provides detailed analysis of the meta-data portion of industry standard audio files. Audio Spy opens WAVE, Broadcast WAVE, AIFF and AIF-C files.

Audio Spy includes three data views:

• A hierarchical view of each of the chunks in the audio file
• A browser style view for each chunk
• A file data hex-viewer with selected chunks outlined

Audio Spy includes descriptions and data for over 75 meta-data types from Apple, Microsoft, Sony and many other sources. Audio Spy also has layouts and descriptions of standard chunks from Broadcast Wave files, Avid Protools, Adobe, MOTU, Sony Acid and many other files.
